DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) – The Big 12 baseball tournament will have a new home in 2022.
According to The Oklahoman, the Big 12 is moving the tournament to the Rangers brand new ballpark, Globe Life Field. Conference officials are expected to formally announce the move at a press conference Wednesday at the new retractable roof stadium.
The tournament has traditionally been held in Oklahoma City since 1997 but was moved to the Rangers former home, Globe Life Park, in 2002 and 2004.
The Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City will continue hosting the tournament for the next two years before it’s moved to Arlington from 2022-2024.
